HEALTHY RECIPES - THREE

Here are 3 everyday easy and healthy recipes

Low fat Paneer (Cottage cheese)

Serves: 1

Ingredients

  • 2 cup of low fat milk/ cow's milk/ skimmed milk
  • 1 cup of low fat curd

Method

  1. Put the milk to boil in a broad pan.
  2. When it starts boiling, add the curd and mix well.
  3. Remove from the stove and stir gently until the milk curdles.
  4. Note if the milk has not curdled completely at this stage, allow the milk to boil once more.
  5. Strain and tie the curdled milk in a muslin cloth.
  6. Hang for about half an hour to allow the whey to drain out. (You can add whey when kneading dough)

Dalia Sprout Salad

Serves: 1

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dalia (broken wheat)
  • ½ cup cooked sprouts
  • ½ cup chopped tomato
  • ½ cup chopped capsicum
  • ¼ cup spring onions
  • ½ cup pomegranate
  • ¼ cup chopped cucumber 
  • Finely chopped ginger, coriander, lemon, chat masala and salt as per taste

Method

  1. Soak the Dalia in water till it gets covered for 10 minutes.
  2. Add cooked sprouts, tomato, capsicum, cucumber, pomegranate, spring onion, ginger, salt and chat masala
  3. Mix well and serve.

Mix Atta Roti

Serves: 1

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp jowar flour
  • 1 tbsp of bajra flour
  • 1 tbsp of nachni flour
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • 1-2 tbsp skimmed milk or curd
  • Ginger and green chilly paste as per taste
  • Salt as per taste

Method

  1. Mix all the above ingredients and knead into dough.
  2. Cook on a non-stick pain into a soft tasty roti.
